The Automatic Pet Feeder

The Automatic Pet Feeder
This gadget would be perfect for anyone taking a trip or is just forgetful and owns a pet. The Automatic Pet Feeder is programmable to certain times so your pet can be automatically fed when you choose.

There are 8 compartments in the circular device, each able to hold about 96 ounces of food. This is perfect for setting 8 days of feeding times or more than once a day for a number of days.

You don’t have to worry about the type of food you’re serving either. Beneath the food tray there is another tray for ice packs so you can feed your pets wet food without letting it go bad.

One thing I think could be better about the feeder would be an option to plug it in, rather than run on just 3 AA batteries. It probably wouldn’t be very nice to your pet if the feeder accidentally ran out of battery power a day or two into your trip and your pet had to go hungry for the rest of the time.

You also don’t have to worry about your pets not remembering when their food is ready. You have the ability to record a message that is played each time the feeder changes to the next compartment. This is also helpful if you have to give your pets medication at certain times because they would hear the sound and come running (unless of course they don’t like their medication ;) ).

I think that this gadget would be a lot of fun to use with my dog. She would probably catch on that this machine worked automatically and just end up staring at it all day :) .

The Automatic Pet Feeder is available from Smart Home for $79.99.
